The web-based system enables Site Managers to log-in wherever they are in the country. It displays three different visual dimensions that allow the user to ‘browse’ a virtual, generic store. Pop-up notes explain which signs need to be replaced and why. Site Managers can also select individual signs and click through to guidelines for mounting them. Real images of sites with signs in situ allow users to see them in context.
Lastly, the site allows the user to order signs direct from the manufacturer once they have made their selection. It’s an powerful tool that helps offer real consistency across the estate and makes life as easy as possible for Site Managers. It’s a neat, convenient way for Waitrose to save yet more money.
