One of the challenges of a new identity is applying it consistently to multiple sites across a wide area. Kent Police turned to us for our expertise in rollout programmes to help them implement their identity at a range of police sites across the county.

The rollout of the refreshed Kent Police identity and environment was a logistical challenge. It involved co-ordinating four different suppliers for the various elements of work at nearly 45 sites scattered across Kent. In addition to the logistical challenge of the project, there was also the need to negotiate carefully with local business managers and where necessary to liaise with local councils and apply for the necessary planning consents to install new signage or carry our works to listed buildings.
We handled the entire process on Kent Police's behalf. We tendered to contractors for the works and production of the elements; we then produced a project plan for the entire process, and managed every site, visiting to liaise with and explain the process to the local staff who would be effected. We managed the contractors, ensuring that every site was implemented to the specifications agreed and making sure that any snagging issues were effectively resolved.
In order to make sure that the new office environments and external presentation was kept up to standard, we produced a training guide for Kent Police staff, and ran a training session for the business managers who were responsible for the reception areas. This helped them to understand the importance of their role in keeping the sites up to standard. Finally we conducted a handover meeting at every site, to make sure that the stations not only looked good to begin with, but were maintained to a high standard as well.
